Chain

Visualize Supply Chain "Chain"

Chain is a project to deliver the story of manufacturing through an application based on the concept of “updating the customer experience.”

Chain visualize how, where, who manufactured products with blockchain technology. The application has photos and dates of products, factories, etc.

MeSHLIFE started developing the Chain service in April 2021 under the mission of “make the story of manufacturing valuable.”

In the farm and fashion industry, the former distribution system does not allow consumers to know who the producer is, and vice versa. Because of that, sometimes, consumers do not know much about the products they buy. For example, it is not clear how much environmental impact the product has or how environmentally friendly the product is.

They aim to solve these issues among producers and suppliers and create a sustainable society. They take photos of each manufacturing process and accumulate all kinds of data, including names, dates, and locations of factories. Furthermore, to increase the authenticity of these data, they have a blockchain system that prevents data tampering. They aim to work with various industries such as clothing, wood, and foodstuffs and launch the service in 2022.

Also, they seek a way to connect environmental indexes (i.g, water and CO2 emissions) with chain data to provide ESG-friendly information.

What Makes the Project Circular

1. Visualize the supply chain through blockchain technology

Chain gives a clear vision of supply chains. Information on the blockchain technology realizes is highly credible and tamperproof. Moreover, the Chain application makes it convenient for producers to provide information and consumers to reach to information by simply scanning the QR code.

2. Tell the story and build good relationships

The essential aspect of Chain is to share the process and the manufacturing story. They combine photos and footage of a manufacturing process that show producers’ passion and philosophy into one story. Consumers eventually feel more familiar with producers and products .

3. Improve customer experience with open data

Chain not only tells the story behind the products but also collects various data from customers’ experiences, such as environmental or social impact. Customers can consider the background of the product over the price before making a decision.
