YOKOHAMA CIRCULAR DESIGN MUSEUM: A Moving Exhibition of Circular Ideas and Encounters
- On 2026/1/27
We have added a new circular project “YOKOHAMA CIRCULAR DESIGN MUSEUM” in our database.
The YOKOHAMA CIRCULAR DESIGN MUSEUM is a travelling exhibition that introduces the circular economy through tangible experiences, thoughtful design, and local stories from Yokohama. Operated by Circular Yokohama, the museum invites visitors to engage with circular living not as a concept, but as something they can see, touch, and enjoy.
Each exhibition features carefully curated upcycled products, artworks, and locally inspired food, revealing how everyday materials can be reimagined with creativity and care. Exhibition fixtures themselves embody circular principles from tables made of discarded solar panels to lighting crafted from empty drink cans.
Designed to move from place to place, the museum appears at circular economy–focused events and public spaces, offering workshops, film screenings, and interactive programs tailored to each venue. Combined with in-depth online articles, the project creates opportunities for learning, discovery, and meaningful encounters around circularity in everyday life.
