Below, we walk you through the highlights from January 2022 and the future plan.
Corporate with Local Organizations
As we have entered into the agreement with the city of Yokohama, Yokohama Living Lab Support Office, and Yokohama Community Design Lab, we started this year setting our goals.
*Check out the detail of our agreement on Circular Yokohama enters into agreement to promote the circular economy through Living Lab.
The city of Yokohama has been promoting the circular economy under the concept of Circular Economy plus (CEP.)
The concept aims to realize the circular economy through living labs. There are 15 living labs in Yokohama as of the end of 2021, and each living lab works on solving local issues along with the CEP concept.
Under the agreement, Circular Yokohama will be operating the website of Yokohama Living Lab Support Office. We are currently working with all the living labs and trying to update the information on the website.
The website is all in Japanese, but we will keep you posted here in English, so please keep your eyes on it.
Support Sustainable Education
In February, we will be building up sustainable educational support in Yokohama.
Sustainable education is becoming crucial for the Japanese education system since SDGs came into force. Each school is figuring out how to transfer their education to a more sustainable way and have the next generation aware of the social issues.
Circular Yokohama has been cooperating with Kanagawa University, Seya-Nishi high school, and Segasaki elementary school to help their sustainable education.
We are now preparing the workshop, seminar, and lecture at the schools we are backing up. We will update how our educational collaboration goes in the following monthly report!
