[Monthly Update: November, 2022] Wrapping Up the Brilliant Year!

Happy holidays! We hope you are having a cozy and wonderful winter season wherever you are.
Circular Yokohama has started rapping up 2022 as the calendar tells us to do so. Here are the things we went through in the past November.
Collaboration with the “SEYANISHI SDGs PROJECT” by Seyanishi High School
Seyanishi high school, located in Seya ward, Yokohama, will be closing in March 2023.
The school has been working on the “SEYANISHI SDGs PROJECT” to summarize students’ school life. The SEYANISHI SDGs project contains seventeen small projects: diversity, fair trade, food waste, resource circulation, and other themes.
Circular Yokohama has been working with the resource circulation project team since 2021. We learned and discussed the current circumstance of waste control, circular economy, and what we could do to the massive amount of waste.
On 9 November, Seyanishi high school held a festival to conclude their study.
The resource circulation project team did a presentation and a workshop to utilize discarded flowers.
We are glad to see the students are now aware of the environmental issues and the importance of the circular economy. We are sure this project will be an unforgettable memory for each student.

Yokohama Sunset Marché is a local market that develops a diverse community, local consumption, and a circular economy.
Circular Yokohama opened the “Yokohama Circular Exhibition” in July 2022. Since then, we have been creating the local circular economy by interacting with Yokohama residents.
Yokohama Circular Exhibition at Yokohama Sunset Marché is closing in December, but we are planning to open our new sustainable market in 2023!
